Nigerian Peacekeepers Killed in West Darfur Ambush
A peacekeeper of the African Union-UN Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID) convalesces in a hospital in El Geneina, Sudan, after an attack on his convoy last night. While on military patrol close to UNAMID's West Darfur headquarters, four Nigerian blue helmets were killed and eight more injured in an ambush by unidentified assailants.
