High-level Meeting on “Sustainable Energy for All”
At a high-level meeting today, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced the appointment of Kandeh Yumkella to serve as his Special Representative for Sustainable Energy for All, a new United Nations post created to spearhead sustainable energy efforts. "Sustainable Energy for All" is an initiative launched by the United Nations Secretary-General and guided by his High Level Group that brings all key actors to the table to make sustainable energy for all a reality by 2030.
