MINUSTAH Sponsors Irrigation Project in Haiti
A family fishes in their inland fish farm made possible by the newly constructed irrigation system pulling water from a nearby river.
The United Nations Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) has financed a project in the central plateau area of Haiti allowing for the construction of two fish farms, 300 meters of irrigation canals, and 500 meters of packed earth irrigation canals, which resulted in a greater yield of agricultural products in the region.
