Humanitarian Affairs Chief Visits North Kivu
Valerie Amos, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, speaks to correspondents during her visit to Goma. More than 270,000 people that have been displaced from their homes by violence in the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s (DRC) North Kivu province. “Thousands of people are looking for help and support from their Government and the humanitarian community,” she said.
