General Assembly President Addresses Conference on Disarmament
In his remarks to the Conference on Disarmament (CD) today, President of the sixty-sixth session of the General Assembly, Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser (left), acknowledged a strengthening of political will in advancing the disarmament agenda but warned that the CD’s failure to make “substantive progress” for over a decade is putting its credibility at risk.
Beside Mr. Al-Nasser is Minelik Alemu Getahun, Permanent Representative of Ethiopia to the UN Office at Geneva (UNOG) and President of the Conference.
