World Leaders Imagine “A Better World For Women and Girls” at Davos Event
As the World Economic Forum meeting continues in Davos today, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu hosted a private sector brainstorming luncheon that focuses on creating a better world for women and girls.
Babatunde Osotimehin (standing), Executive Director of the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), participates at the event, which highlighted the Every Woman, Every Child initiative, spearheaded by Mr. Ban, to mobilize and intensify global action to improve the health of women and children around the world. Also seated at the table, are Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu.
