Deputy Special Representative for South Sudan Briefs on Displaced in Jonglei
Lise Grande, Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in South Sudan, holds a press conference on the deteriorating situation in the country’s Jonglei State. Ms. Grande estimates that the same number of people displaced in South Sudan last year - 350,000 - will be displaced again this year, with over a hundred thousand people already affected by the attacks in Jonglei.
