UNAMID Chief Visits Displaced in Kutum, North Darfur
South African troops with the African Union-UN Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID) are shown on patrol at Kassab Camp for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), in Kutum, North Darfur, as the head of the mission, Ibrahim Gambari, meets with the camp’s residents. More than 25,000 people live at Kassab and UNAMID troops organize patrols every day to monitor the area.
