Secretary-General and Assembly President Meet Group Displaced from South Kordofan, Sudan
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon (right, against wall) and Joseph Deiss (left, against wall), President of the sixty-fifth session of the General Assembly, meet with a group of internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Kadugli, South Kordofan State, during their visit to Juba, South Sudan. The group, comprised of Nubians and members of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), fled political persecution in South Kordofan when violence erupted there in June.
