Japanese Former Prime Minister Lectures on Sustainable Development
Yasuo Fukuda (centre), former Prime Minister of Japan, delivers the twelfth Rafael M. Salas Memorial Lecture, "Challenges for sustainable development in a new era: Population, climate change and global security". The lecture was held in the Trusteeship Council Chamber and organized by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). To the right of Mr. Fukuda is Thoraya Ahmed Obaid, Executive Director of UNFPA.
