Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon speaks to journalists following his briefing to the Security Council on the situation in Afghanistan, where he visited earlier this week to express solidarity with the UN staff based there and to convey his condolences for the loss of five of their colleagues, killed on 28 October in an attack on a Kabul guest house.
