The Vienna International Centre (VIC) is home to the United Nations family in Vienna and is one of the four United Nations headquarters worldwide. The VIC, designed by Austrian architect Johann Staber, was handed over to the United Nations and the International Atomic Energy Agency 30 years ago this month on 23 August 1979. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon attends a special ceremony to mark the 30th anniversary of the VIC.
