The Dag Hammarskjöld Library Building at UN Headquarters
A view of a section of the Penthouse Lounge on the topmost floor (4th) of the new Dag Hammarskjöld Library building at United Nations Headquarters. In the background is the mural by Bo Beskow, entitled "Composition for a concave wall", which was sketched in Sweden and finished in the United States. The Lounge extends over some 2,000 square feet and is equipped with chairs and benches for approximately 35 people, but can accommodate about 150 at receptions. The mural is on the west wall. The east wall and floor are covered in English sycamore wood.
