Mayor Edward Koch of New York City Meets with Dag Hammarskjöld Fellows
Mayor Edward Koch of New York City visited the United Nations on 9 September and met with the 1980 Dag Hammarskjöld Fellows of the Memorial Scholarship Fund of the UN Correspondents Association (UNCA). Since the establishment in 1961 of the Memorial Scholarship Fund, in tribute to the late Dag Hammarskjöld, many journalists from developing countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America have been brought to New York under its auspices to observe and report on the UN and also to improve their professional skills.
