Utilization of Satellite Technology for Conference Servicing
The United Nations, in cooperation with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and with the Communications Satellite Corporation (COMSAT) conducted an experiment in remote simultaneous interpretation. It took place during the UN Conference on Technical Cooperation Among Developing Nations which was held in Buenos Aires from 30 August to 12 September 1978.
