UN Medical Team in the Republic of the Congo (Leopoldville)
Medical and health units from more than fifteen UN countries are taking part in United Nations operations in the Republic of the Congo (Leopoldville). WHO (UN World Health Organization) is coordinating the work of these teams.
In the city of Matadi the 260-bed general hospital is staffed by a Danish medical unit which includes four doctors, two nurses, and one midwife. Nurse Hanne Ollandroff of the Danish medical unit, with a Congolese woman and child.
