UN Iran-Iraq Military Observer Group (UNIIMOG) Supervises Cease-Fire and Withdrawal of Troops to Recognized Borders
The United Nations Iran-Iraq Military Observer Group (UNIIMOG) was set up by the Security Council on 9 August to "verify, confirm and supervise" the Iran-Iraq cease-fire and the withdrawal of troops to the internationally recognized boundaries.
