Fourth Phase of Implementation of Disengagement Agreement Completed
Israeli forces today handed over to the United Nations Emergency Force (UNEF II) the area covered by the fourth phase of the implementation of the disengagement agreement. The handing over took place in the Deversoir area at 1000 hours GMT when Col. S. Gat of the Israeli Forces turned over the area to Col. T. Kuosa, representative of the UNEF Commander at UNEF forward headquarters.
Last units of the Israeli Armed Forces watch the lowering of the flag at their bridgehead on the west bank of the Suez Canal before withdrawing over an Israeli built causeway into Sinai.
