Security Council Fails to Adopt Resolution on Israel-Syria Issue
The Security Council today failed to adopt, because of the negative vote of a permanent member of the Council, a draft resolution relating to complaints by Israel and Syria. In the complaints Israel and Syria each accuse the other of aggression. The vote was 8 in favor to 2 against (Morocco, USSR), with 1 abstention (Venezuela).
