The Security Council Chamber
Partial view of the Security Council chamber, at U.N. Headquarters, during a meeting of the Council. The picture shows part of the horseshoe-shaped table, where each representative on the Council occupies a place marked with the name of his countries. At the center table seat such Secretariat staff as interpreters, verbatim reporters and press officers. The two tiers of booths are used by press and newsreel photographers, radio and television reporters, and the simultaneous interpreters. The two rows of chairs under the booths are reserved for observers from non-Council-members countries.
