President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Visits UN Headquarters
The President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Joseph D. Mobutu, paid an official visit to United Nations Headquarters and was guest of honour at a luncheon given by Secretary-General U Thant.
President Mobutu presented Secretary-General, U Thant with a portrait of himself. At the right is Dr. Ralph J. Bunche, Under-Secretary-General for Special Political Affairs.
