About the UN Radio News Service

The UN Radio News Service provides broadcasters and other providers of audio news reports with comprehensive daily coverage from the United Nations.

The UN Radio News Service (UNRNS) was launched on November 1, 2005. It offers broadcasters around the world a proven source of objective, timely, and accurate information from one of the world's preeminent newsmakers. To date thousands of stories have been downloaded by broadcasters on issues as diverse as natural disasters, man-made conflicts, terrorism, infectious disease, poverty, development and the world's weather.

The service is offered at no cost, you only are required to register so that we can know who we are serving and what stories you are interested in.

UN Radio News Service Reporters

Jerry Piasecki Jerry Piasecki is an award-winning radio journalist with over 20 years of experience as a news director and reporter in the United States. He also has an extensive background in international journalism. Additionally, Jerry is an author of children's novels which have been taught in schools throughout the U.S. and in more than 23 countries worldwide. Jerry was born in Michigan.

Gail Walker Gail Walker is a radio veteran with over 12 years of experience as a broadcast journalist in the Midwest and on the East Coast of the United States. As a communications professional, she has worked extensively in print, video and radio for 20 years. She has traveled and worked extensively throughout the Middle East and Latin America. Gail was born in Wisconsin.
