The financial crisis is not an excuse for wealthy nations to abandon their responsibility to finance development says Miguel D'Esctoto Brockmann, the President of the General Assembly. The President is in Doha, Qatar to participate in the International Conference on Financing for Development currently underway in Doha, Qatar. The conference is a follow up to the 2002 international conference in Monterrey, Mexico on financing for development.
