Jean Maurice Ripert, the French Ambassador to the UN says it's important that the international community offer its support to the people of Democratic Republic of Congo especially during this critical time. More than two hundred fifty thousand people have been directly affected by the hostilities in Congo and the Ambassador says despite global problems such as the financial crisis, the people of the Congo need the help of the international community.
