An indigenous person from Cameroon says land is a problem

- This week the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues concludes its annual session. Some 2,000 indigenous representatives from all regions of the world have been meeting in New York since last week. Al Shatu Ali tells UN Radio that land is a major concern for the Mburo indigenous people of Cameroon.


UN police officers help fight crime in South Sudan


- May 29 is the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers. On the occasion of this day, we report of the work of United Nations police officers who are working in the UN Mission in Sudan to help fight crime in South Sudan.




Water is crucial for Africa's Green Revolution



- A recent report by the UN Environment Programme projects says that Africa will have an additional one billion people to feed by 2050. The lead author of the report Dr. Christian Nellemann says better management of water is crucial to meet this challenge.
