Information for Broadcasters
UN Radio produces daily news content in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Kiswahili, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish, and weekly programmes in Hindi, Urdu and Bangla.
UN Radio updates its news throughout the day. It also produces news features and analyses on a variety of social, political, economic, development and cultural issues involving the UN and its work.
UN Radio content can be downloaded directly from our website after the user has registered. Both individuals and organizations can register as users. No further action is required.
United Nations Radio never charges for this content.
UN Radio products range from individual news and feature stories to presenter-led daily and weekly current affairs programmes.
We believe the most effective way to use this content is to include it your own output. Our news stories (cue + soundbite of up to 30 seconds) and features/interviews (cue + audio of typically up to three minutes) are written and produced so they can be incorporated seamlessly into news bulletins and/or feature programmes.
These news products in mp3 format can be used by broadcasters in their programmes or as a source of information and materials for individual reporters.
We also produce a number of 10-minute presenter-led programmes. These include our Daily Programme (news bulletin + two features), and three regional magazine programmes; UN and Africa, UN calling Asia and Women; all with three features. All features are posted individually as well.
