Fifteen years since Barbados meeting on Small Island Developing States, the islands are now well prepared to take the lead in renewable energy. The view was expressed by Vasantha Chase, Director Chase Consulting during a meeting of the UN Economic and Social Council on "energy security and energy options for small island developing states"-SIDS.
