Violence against women endures, 15 years after Beijing

Despite advances in the status of women, the UN estimates one in three women experience physical or sexual violence at some time in her life. Today, 15 years after the Beijing Declaration and Platform, a blueprint to achieve a gender-balanced world, there is growing frustration that most of the Beijing goals remain out of reach. In this programme women rights experts illustrate how violence against women continues in its various forms and manner.
