Secretary-General condemns rocket attack on Israel from Gaza

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has condemned a rocket attack from Gaza which killed a civilian in Israel on Thursday.

According to reports, the rocket struck the Netiv H'assera collective farm in southern Israel killing a foreign agricultural worker.
The Secretary-General says all such acts of terror and violence against civilians are totally unacceptable and contrary to international law.
The rocket attack happened on the eve of a meeting of the Middle East Quartet in Moscow in which the Secretary-General will participate.
The Quartet, made up of the United Nations, the European Union, Russia and the United States, is trying to help resolve the Israeli Palestinian conflict.
