UN Experts denounce sexual violence committed against children

Children, much more than adults, are vulnerable to rape and other forms of sexual violence, whether it's in the home, at school or in the midst of conflict. Radhika Coomaraswamy, the Secretary-General's Special Representative on Children and Armed Conflict, has met with children who've been sexually abused in different conflict zones.

Women's Charter in Europe pushes for gender equality

While Europe, especially the Nordic countries, has made progress in promoting equality between women and men, a recent survey found that 62% of Europeans believe gender inequality still exists. So, to make gender equality a reality in the 27 countries of the European Union, the European Commission presented a Women's Charter ahead of International Women's Day on the 8th of March.
