More H1N1 cases in Northern Hemisphere, fewer in countries of Southern Hemisphere

With the approach of winter in the Northern Hemisphere, the World Health Organization is reporting an increase in the number of H1N1 flu cases, says WHO spokesperson Gregory Hartl.

HARTL: We're seeing quite a bit more activity in the Northern Hemisphere across North America and across many parts of Europe, and I believe also Japan is mentioned.

At the same time, WHO reports a noticeable decrease in reported flu cases in the countries of the Southern Hemisphere, notably in Chile, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
