First group of refugees from Chad resettles in United States
23/06/2009
A first group of eleven refugees from Chad is resettling in the United States. The programme is part of the United Nations refugee agency's plan this year to resettle refugees living in camps in eastern Chad.
The agency says the group, which left the Chadian capital N'Djamena by air on Sunday, is made up of refugees from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sudan and the Central African Republic.
Cuts from UNHCR spokesman, William Spindler from Geneva.
