Speaking to journalists outside the Security Council Chamber Ambassador Abdalmahmood Mohamad called Mr. Ocampo a mercenary of death and destruction.

He accused the Prosecutor of spreading lies and sabotaging peace in Sudan.

Ambassador Mohamad said Mr. Ocampo has outlived his usefulness and accused him of promoting what he calls criminal tourism referring to a rebel leader who voluntarily appeared before the court recently.

Ambassador Mohamad directly addressed the Prosecutor.

"Mr. Ocampo you are not welcomed in this place. You reduce the image of the United Nations. You know the real criminals. You have to follow them. Sudan is not one of them. We will not be able and we shall not cooperate with the ICC. And indeed your trend of publicity and media should come to an end also."

Ambassador Mohamad said the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court has reached what he called "the law of diminishing return."
