Women continue to make headway in many professions that were traditionally the province of men. From running corporations to running countries, it's not unusual to see women performing jobs that their mothers and grandmothers could only dream of doing. But what happens when the tables are turned? UN Radio's Derrick Mbatha recently sat down with Thula Mbatha and Thabo Mathenjwa, two male nurses from South Africa, who talk about the joys and struggles they face working in a field that's so associated with women.

The Bible story The Rape of Tamar is about a young man who violates his half-sister. South African priest Solomuzi Mabuza uses this story to teach young people about violence against women. Rev. Mabuza is a passionate advocate for women's rights and gender equality. He believes that since apartheid has been defeated, South Africa should also work to ensure equality of women and children. UN Radio's Matthew Graham caught up with Rev. Mabuza during his recent visit to UN Headquarters.
