Emergency aid still not enough to provide a dignified life to Palestinians in Gaza: ICRC
One month after the beginning of the conflict in Gaza, emergency aid is still very much needed and still not sufficient to build an environment which would enable the people there to live a dignified life.
That assessment comes from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Dorothea Krimitsas of the ICRC told reporters in Geneva, the ICRC is still carrying out emergency assistance in health, medical care and supplies:
" We are still carrying out assessments in 12 major hospitals throughout the Gaza Strip and provide the ministry of health stores with medicines and various needed equipment."
ICRC also continues to escort Palestinian technicians to carry out repairs at the water-treatment plants and on electrical infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.
