WFP reiterates need to improve speedy entry of supplies into Gaza
The World Food Programme has once again emphasized the need to improve the speed of entry of supplies through the crossings into Gaza.
The agency says it is vital for all the crossings to be opened, so that the supplies can reach the people in the Gaza Strip, which was subjected to Israeli attacks in recent days.
WFP spokesperson, Emilia Casella
"Today we have been able to reach 150,000 people with regular rations since the beginning of the hostilities, but that's still very much below the number of people we need to reach. An additional 40,000 people have received emergency food assistance."
Ms. Casella says WFP is participating in an inter-agency rapid needs assessment, coordinated by the United Nations humanitarian agency.
