Physician group says health threats in Zimbabwe underestimated

Richard Sollom of the Physicians for Human Rights is just back from a week-long visit to Zimbabwe where the group visited four of the ten provinces in northern Zimbabwe. He says there was evidence of multiple health-related problems. In addition to cholera, he says there was evidence of malnutrition and severe vitamin deficiency. Mr. Sollom says reports of cholera cases are seriously underestimated. Physicians for Human Rights, has issued an emergency report on the collapsing health system in Zimbabwe. Richard Sollom, is the lead author of the report.
