UNRWA welcomes Gaza resolution

The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) applauds the Security Council resolution calling for an immediate cease fire in Gaza. UNRWA Spokesperson Elena Mancusi Materi says humanitarian services were suspended due to the violence will resume once they agency receives credible assurances from Israeli authorities that their staff and installation will be safe. Several UNRWA employees have been killed since the fighting began.
