08/01/2009
The League of Arab States says it's time for the UN Security Council to speak out on the on-going unrest in Gaza. The League's Secretary-General Amr Moussa says it's time for the Council to live up to its responsibility. The Security Council is currently mulling over two proposals on Gaza - a draft presidential statement proposed by France along with a draft resolution presented by Libya. It's anticipated that the Council will vote on the matter today.
