U.S. Economic Downturn may Threaten Millennium Development Goals - Secretary-General

The economic downturn in the world, and particularly in the United States may make it difficult to reach the Millennium Development Goals by the target date of 2015, according to Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. He intends to call world leaders to a meeting on stepping up efforts to reach the goals on September 25th in New York.
