02/09/2008
The UN's Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights has criticised Iran for two recent executions of young men who committed their crimes when they were 15 and 16 years old. Spokesperson Rupert Colville calls those executions illegal. He says there has been an increase in all executions in Iran. On one day in July reportedly 29 people were put to death. So far this year 220 people, including six juvenile offenders, have been executed in Iran.
