Diplomatic Opportunities Lost on Georgia in Security Council - South Africa
29/08/2008
South Africa's UN Ambassador Dumisani Kumalo says his nation is disappointed that the Security Council was unable to endorse the six point peace plan for Georgia brokered by French President Sarkozy and approved by all sides before Russia recognized South Ossetia and Abkhazia and independent states. He says that made diplomacy much more difficult now. He promises his country will work to avoid such lost opportunities in the future.
