Insurgent Violence in Afghanistan Up - Trend Could Go Either Way - UN Military Advisor

The UN's Senior Military Advisor in Afghanistan, Brig. General Mark Skidmore, says insurgent violence has increased this year, but he says it might just be a normal ebb and flow of attack levels or an on-going trend. The UN plays no real military role in Afghanistan, with Brig. General Skidmore and his small staff serving as advisors to the UN political mission to the country.
