Some think that recognizing the rights of the indigenous is the same as providing them with special treatment. James Anaya, the UN Special rapporteur on the Human Rights and Fundamental Freedom of Indigenous People says that's not the case. He says it's about highlighting the wrongs that have been committed against then.
