On March 16th UN police and then NATO Peacekeepers moved in to forcibly end the occupation of a courthouse in Northern Kosovo by Serbs protesting Kosovo's declared Independence. Violence ensued resulting in the death of one peackeeper and scores of injuries. The Secretary-General launched an investigation, the results of which were given to the Security Council behind closed doors. Russia's UN Ambassador Vitaly Churkin says the investigation found the use of force to be unjustified. United Kingdom Deputy UN Ambassador Karen Pierce says the report didn't take all facts into consideration.
