Patience - Russia's Advice Regarding Iran Nuke Talks
07/08/2008
Russia's UN Ambassador says diplomacy takes patience and people should be focusing on negotiations with Iran in efforts to get it to suspend its nuclear enrichment program. He says no one should rush into sanctions and should instead take advantage of what he calls "positive momentum" on the issue. He says Russia would have liked a more straight forward response from Iran to an offer of incentives to stop enrichment, but he says the negotiation process should continue.
Two reports by Jerry Piasecki
Report 1 - Time for negotiations not new sanctions against Iran.
Report 2 - Patience is required in diplomacy.
