Opposition Responsible for Mugabe Win in Zimbabwe - Zimbabwe's UN Ambassador

Saying whether the recent election of President Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe is legitimate or not is neither "here nor there", Zimbabwe's UN Ambassador Boniface Chidyausiku says under his nation's constitution Mr. Mugabe is President and that's that. He says the law states that a runoff election must be held if no candidate gets a majority of the vote, and should one candidate withdraw from the race the other automatically becomes President. Amid widespread violence and alleged voter intimidation, opposition candidate Morgan Tsvangiri pulled out of the race. The Ambassador says that made Mr. Mugabe the rightful President of the Zimbabwe according to law.
