Palestinians facing a criminal campaign: Palestinian Observer
Gaza is under siege. That's what the Palestinian UN Observers told the UN Security Council Wednesday evening during an emergency meeting to discus the situation in Gaza.
Riyad Mansour says the Palestinian people are facing a criminal campaign.
He says they face a dangerous crossroads in the Middle East as a result of the Israeli aggression, which he says is increasing in ferocity and threatening the lives of Palestinians and undermining the peace efforts.
"The decisions taken by all parties now, especially the Security Council, which is responsible for the maintenance of international peace and security are extremely important. They can bring us back to reason and calm and stability to make peace. Or, make us delve more into a cycle of violence and destruction and killing - a cycle that resulted in many tragedies for our peoples and will lead definitely if not stopped to dashing our hopes in making peace."
Mansour says despite calls for an end to the aggression, Israel continues to defy the international appeals and to squander every human value and international law.
