Human Rights Expert welcomes Obama's intentions to close Guantanamo Bay

Four human rights experts have welcomed the announcement by US President-elect Obama that he will make it a priority of his administration to close the illegal detention centre at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. One of them is Manfred Nowak, who, two years ago, contributed to a report on the situation of detainees at Guantanamo Bay that concluded that their treatment violated international human rights law. Mr. Nowak told Bissera Kostova this is still the case today.
