“Gimme Shelter” film helps raise awareness for the work of UNHCR in the Democratic Republic of the Congo
Women: a weekly 14-minute news magazine that looks at issues affecting women around the world.
The short film, set to the Rolling Stones song of the same name, was produced for UNHCR, the UN refugee agency, by actor-director Ben Affleck and the Rolling Stone's Mick Jagger. It details the unseen suffering of families in the Democratic Republic of the Congo who are fleeing fighting in the province known as North Kivu. One woman tells her story.

For centuries in the high desert of northwestern Argentina, the indigenous Kolla people have raised llama as pack animals, for food and for wool. Women spin the wool into high quality products that are sold regionally. Now with the help of ILO, the International Labor Organization, this ancient tradition is becoming a commercial success.
